Kim Kelley’s journey from survival to advocacy is nothing short of extraordinary. Born into an international religious cult where she endured 20 years of trafficking and all forms of abuse, Kim escaped in Mexico and transformed her trauma into triumph. She established a successful career in the USA, becoming a serial entrepreneur with ventures ranging from an online marketing agency to a sports apparel company and holistic health supplements.
At 30, upon realizing the pervasive issue of child trafficking and exploitation in the USA, Kim shifted her focus toward combating this heinous crime. She has worked with various nonprofits, local and federal law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and public figures to raise awareness and combat child exploitation. She founded Digital Defenders United, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to awareness and action in the digital space to protect children and their innocence. Utilizing her deep understanding of predators' tactics, online security gaps, and the lack of public awareness, Kim is a formidable force in raising awareness, educating the public, and compelling people to take action.
Kim is not just a survivor advocate but a beacon of hope, inspiring action and empowering individuals to protect the most vulnerable. She boldly addresses and unpacks the layers of child trafficking and exploitation at speaking events and media interviews, offering insights and practical strategies to prevent exploitation and foster community resilience against predators.
"I've seen the darkest sides of humanity, but I've also seen the incredible impact of shedding light on these issues and compelling people to have the awareness and courage to take action. I'm committed to igniting change and empowering others to join the fight against child exploitation. Combating child exploitation in the digital realm is the only and most effective way that we, the people, can make a meaningful impact over the next few years, protecting and preventing children from experiencing exploitation." - Kim Kelley
